at the boundary |
|
Dr. Jean-Jacques is fascinated by the boundary where God and man touch each other. His publications in the area of theology and spirituality testify to this, ranging from his dissertation to his present columns in the daily newspaper Trouw. In these latter he tries to give new impulses to contemporary thinking about faith and religion. A selection of these columns recently appeared under the title God & Zo. As a minister he is also always looking for the boundary between God and man - in his preaching, pastoral work, teaching and celebration of the liturgy. At times this can take the form of spiritual direction. The same applies to his work as a Gestalt therapist – although in therapy this need not necessarily become an explicit theme. His lectures for students, youth workers, teachers, managers, businessmen and ministers in essence also deal in various ways with the art of balancing on this boundary. |
